Floating Under Moonlight

drive your car at night

under full moon's

bright reflected sun

 

chase moonray paths

from black pavement

and redlights flashing

 

place lead-filled boxes

in need piles holding

the pedal firmly in place

 

straighten the wheel

climb over the seet

squeeze your eyes into sleep

 

awaken as your body floats

over a bridge or cliff

freefall seconds high

 

fly into moonlight

and sleep again

before reaching the ground
